POSITION SUMMARY:
Delights restaurant patrons with responsive food and beverage service.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Sells and serves food and beverages to customers in the dining room, bar and game room.
Presents menus, answers questions, makes suggestions regarding food and beverages.
Answer the phone, give directions, and take to go orders.
Prep some food items.
Deliver food and drinks for others.
Writes orders on customer checks.
Relays orders to the service bar and kitchen using the computer.
Observes customers, anticipates needs and responds to additional requests.
Accurately collect payment and makes change.
Clears and resets tables.
Cleans the service areas as necessary.
Clean and dust all aspect of the dining room, game room and bar.
Inspects restrooms every time you are in there and cleans as necessary.
Perform all assigned side works.
Conducts daily inspections of service areas, tables, chairs and condiments.
Recognizes and reports all necessary maintenance promptly.
Fills in where needed to ensure efficient operations.
Suggests improvements to the operating format.
RESULTS UPON WHICH PERFORMANCE IS EVALUATED:
Customers are acknowledged within one minute of being seated.
Food orders are delivered within 1-2 minutes of completion.
Hot food is consistently served hot and cold food is consistently served cold.
Customers have a spontaneous positive reaction when plate is presented to customer.
Customers comment in favor of food, service.
Service areas are always neat and clean.
Customers have a great time every time as measured by regular patronage and their repeat visits.
Resolves customer problems (in favor of the customer) immediately.
Knowledgeable on menu items, drinks and wines.
Customers regularly ask for this staff member to serve them.
Customers make unsolicited comments on the cleanliness of the restrooms.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
Able to operate an electronic POS system.
Walks and stands during the entire shift up to 12 hours.
Reading and writing skills required.
Reaches, bends, stoops, and wipes.
Carries tray weighing up to 30 pounds from kitchen to dining room about 24 times per shift.
Interacts verbally with patrons.
Hazards may include, but are not limited to, cuts, burns, slipping, and second hand smoking.
